What once was good but now is bad?

It may not be a well known fact but back in 3rd edition I played quite a variety of armies, from Tyranids to CSM: Thousand Sons to Eldar. Sadly, as new versions of the armies/new rules came out, some of my other armies became less viable in the competitive scene and ended up on the shelves of perpetual dust but I wanted to pay homage to some of these armies. Do any of you have some armies you absolutely love but hate what GW has done with them?

Last week I was interviewed by Pat from The 11th Company 40k podcast crew. They just posted the episode with my interview in it yesterday so I wanted to drop a line about it.

This past weekend I drove up to the Sacramento area (and did a bit of site seeing on the way with my wife) and got to play in the 'Ard Boyz finals. It went pretty good all things considered so without a further adieu, here is a basic account of the tournament:

So it looks like I may end up being able to make the trip to Sacramento for the 'Ard Boyz finals. I now have an idea what the scenarios will be but not what the competition will be like. With a solid/balanced Eldar list maybe it wont matter, I wanted to take a moment to get feedback on the list I'm thinking of bringing as well as briefly touch upon list balance.
