I'm still alive!

I just want to let everyone who frequent's this blog know that I am still alive and kicking, still very much involved with Eldar and 40k in general. Right now I am studying for law school finals but after that you should be able to expect some more content...

Basically, there have been a lot of things up in the air as far as rumors go, mainly that 6th edition is coming out in the summer with CSM coming out after that. I was holding off on a lot of tactical content and so on (but I have a bunch of battle reports to post) mainly because I am waiting to see how 6th edition will change everything.

As soon as 6th hits, I'll pick up the new book, play a bunch of games and post updated tactical articles for ya'll. In the meantime, enjoy the battle reports that will be popping up every now and again and feel free to email me with special requests or army list advice/tactical help at mortetvie13@gmail.com.

  1. Hello! I had no idea 6th was coming out in the summer. I just wanted to say that I am a fellow eldar player/ law student and it's been great to read some of the things on your blog. With the shining spears I find its best to keep them in reserve and then use them to crush the advanced CC units the enemy has brought to you. I do play gunline however!
In regards to more serious stuff, I found a snail in my ginger beer today! I'm gonna be rich!

    1. The rumor mill strongly suggests 6th edition in the summer, possibly July/September so hang on to your horses! Also, I agree, keeping the Shining Spears back as a counter charger/reactionary element to your army is probably their best use at the moment. Unless you take 3 units for fun but that is for fun and just silly.

  2. Good luck on your finals. I've been practicing law for the last 6 years. You're prepping to enter a great profession.

    1. The Carbolic Smoke Ball got me through college, it will get me through law school! j/k, that was a silly case though right now I am studying my negligence for Torts I =).

  4. Torts was never my strong point, though it can be broken down into flow charts. Criminal law, now that was (and is) my bread and butter.

    1. I have a knack for Torts, Contracts makes sense and Criminal Law is fun. I might try to get a job with the California DA when I graduate. I think Criminal Law and Torts has a lot of overlap.

Having to know the bluebook citations is killing me though!

  5. I'm actually from England so I could be doing a completely different set of cases to you, however If Donoghue v Stevenson rings a bell then we have a similar negligence syllabus!
(and my previous jest wasn't completely lost)

I'd also love to see how an army with 3 units of 3 war walkers would do. I've always thought it would be incredible due to the relatively cheap cost of them and the sheer volume of S6 shots they can pour out. 72 a turn for 540pts isn't bad!

    1. Its an ok list if you build it right. I like to do 9 War walkers, 9 Vypers, 2 DAVU units, 2-3 Fire Dragon units and 1-2 Autarchs for the +1 reserves. Reserve then come on and then blast away, the amount of shooting is fun.

    2. Also, England and America do have very different laws in certain ways. I know America is a lot more forgiving with using deadly force to defend oneself from people breaking into the home. Common Law from England has evolved into something pretty different in the states though some of the older cases are from English courts =).
